The Queen is not the only person who celebrated a 60th anniversary this year! The year 2012 is also a landmark year for Shipton-under-Wychwood Women's Institute. We were formed in 1952, when the Shipton members decided to break away from the Wychwood WI and form their own institute. The membership has continued to thrive over the years as we have recently welcomed our 65th member.

We will be marking our jubilee in various ways, the highlight of which was our Diamond Jubilee Dinner on the 28th September. We made the evening a celebration of the past 60 years, full of fun and nostalgia and enjoyed the company of members both past and present.
